Conversations or moments that I had with our legendary MAMCF Moms like Rowena R. still resonate with me today. I can still remember Cynthia P. saying,"I would have treatment in the hospital and then come home and help with homework." Or the time I saw a pair of kid Converse shoes at the foot of a hospice bed. These moments stay deep, reminding me that a young mom facing a terminal illness is not only heartbreaking, but life changing. As time lays its groundwork, some of those moments from history become a form of strength, a memory to tell, or the fuel to help others in need. History has its reasons.
